Celebrating PRIDE this June in Lawrence, Kansas
Welcome to the greatest month of the year, Lawrence! Because Lawrence is such a vibrant, eccentric, and accepting place to be, we watch over to pull out all the stops for Movement month. There are events for celebrators of every age, and we’ve done some digging to lay them in a handy-dandy list for you. Here are some of the events that make Lawrence a PRIDE destination this year.
Lawrence PRIDE Parade and Block Party
Downtown Lawrence | June 3
Everyone loves a parade! That’s why Lawrence PRIDE is starting off the month of celebrations with their first ever street parade. There will be floats, marchers, and more as we celebrate adore and unity in Lawrence. The parade starts at 3:00 p.m. and runs from 11th and Mass north to 6th and Mass.
You don’t have to stray far, because the PRIDE block party kicks off right after march downtown. Just follow the rainbow to 8th lane between Mass and Brand-new Hampshire, and you’ll detect a stage with a host of drag performers, a dance party, drinks, and tons of activities for the kids.

With the help of the community since we opened, we own been able to widen from a very petite neighborhood bar to the most popular nightclub in Kansas City. We are open from noon until 3:00 a.m. 365 days a year serving our clientele 21 years of age and over. We offer the most affordable drinks in town from noon until 8:00 p.m. daily, and offer nightly drink specials Sunday through Thursday. We have the friendliest staff in Kansas City and you are guaranteed to have a good time any period you visit. We hold 3 separate bar areas including a smoking patio, and 3 to 7 bartenders nightly to guarantee the best service achievable. After all, we are the home of Excellent Times and Good Friends!
Through the years, we contain done our best to give back to our community that has supported us. With the assist of our sister bars and community our most recent fundraiser was for the victims of Pulse which raised over $53,000.00. We have pot luck dinners on Thanksgiving and Christmas for those people who have no place to go. We hold done many benefits for local gay organizations and causes, includ
