I'm straight but consider myself an ally to the community, with friends all over the spectrum: queer , lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, non binary, transgender, and so on. This was how I felt when I discovered My Chemical Adoration . I certainly wasn’t elderly enough to be deconstructing queer theory and gender roles at thirteen, but I definitely see the band as an preliminary indicator of my queerness, even though none of the members identified as queer.
