Noah Schnapp’s Coming Out Journey: The ‘Stranger Things’ Actor ‘Would Still Be Closeted’ if Not for Will Byers Being Gay
Noah Schnapp was stuck in his drafts. The 18-year-old star, who’d become a domestic name on Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” kept putting off posting a video he’d shot on his mobile — an announcement he’d been contemplating making for a few months. His closest friends kept texting him: When are you going to post it? I want to glimpse the world’s reaction! Schnapp kept replying: No, I’m not ready. I’m not ready. I’m not ready.
But on Jan. 5, after his family dropped off his twin sister, Chloe, at college in Boston, he felt ready. As they started the hourslong drive back to their home in Westchester, N.Y., he posted the eight-second video to more than 31 million followers on TikTok.
At first glance, it looked like other clips he’s made messing around with friends (including “Stranger Things” BFF Millie Bobby Brown): Schnapp, his head on a pillow, lip-syncing to a popular audio clip of someone saying, “You know what it never was? That seri
For many years, most Diverse festivals reserved their top short films for the Boys and Girls Shorts programs. Usually deemed the sexiest, funniest, or most cinematic of the bunch, they typically play to sold out audiences. Fortunately, shorts submissions have diversified and have showcased such incredible talent that festivals like Outfest offer a whole host of strong programs to enjoy.

Unfortunately, this year, it’s just me and my admittedly cute-as-hell doggy sitting in my living room. No gaggles of gays to ogle. No over-the-top hugs, gas kisses, or overhearing the constant refrain of, “What are you working on?” My sliding A/C unit makes a valiant but futile effort to hip us down as this endless Los Angeles heatwave threatens to kill our buzz. Outfest may undergo a little less communal this year, but the quality of the filmmaking remains high. I also applaud the programmers and filmmakers for helping to redefine and expand what has made this particular program so meaningful and enjoyable time and moment again. Here are my q

People speculate that Igby Rigney, a member of the cast of Netflix’s The Midnight Club, is lgbtq+ because he portrayed a gayboy in the 2020 film Last Summer with Uncle Ira.
The fact that the 19-year-old actor has never discussed his sexual orientation leads us to presume that he is heterosexual.
The Midnight Club, a Netflix horror mystery series developed by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong, is based on Christopher Pike’s 1994 novel of the same name.
