The music of JMSN (pronounced Jameson) is that of embracing a sensual vulnerability as a mechanism to evolve into who you truly are, even if you're still on that journey. The singer/songwriter and producer born Christian Berishaj, originally hailing from Eastpointe, Michigan now based in Los Angeles, was previously signed with Atlantic Records (under the Love Arcade project) and Universal Motown (as Christian TV), where the music he was making wasn't neccessarily what he wanted to be doing thus the eventual progression into the creatively satisfying JMSN.
Berishaj chose the stagename JMSN because, well, he likes drinking Jameson. He grew up just making music all the time, even if it meant skipping educational facility. After many years in the music industry, Berishaj's story was often a repeated one, where the music truly playing in the artist's mind takes a backseat to all the things this ass-backwards music industry thinks someone needs to do to make it - and also a story of how labels don't realize the talent right under their noses.

There’s no clear cut track to obtaining a career in the music industry, especially in today’s tape business climate. But if you do truly involve, you’ll find a way to make it labor. 26-year-old Christian Berishaj is a living example of that.
Better known as JMSN, the singer/songwriter/producer has been making music professionally since he was 17. Initially signing to Atlantic Records under the stage name Snowhite as part of the lukewarm rock band Love Arcade, Berishaj then took on the moniker Christian TV to signify his new label stint with Universal Motown. After heeding less than impressive results (and another major label exit), Berishaj finally cut through the industry nonsense and emerged with a new name and a refined musical way (which he’s coined as “Hippie R&B”) in Priscilla.
The album is an feeling yet compelling journey highlighted by JMSN’s strikingly pensive production. From beginning to end, it’s a captivating performance that has garnered praise from the likes of Usher and Chris Brown. It has also opened up many opportunities for the Detroit-native, with credits including recent perform with Kendrick Lamar, Gam JMSN’s live show has evolved into a collective experience I first meet Christian, who now goes by the stage name JMSN, on a winter day in Melbourne outside a café in Carlton. I arrive five minutes early to detect he has beaten me there and is sitting out the front. The first thing I notice when I introduce myself is how mysteriously alluring he is. Effortlessly charismatic, I suppose. I offer him a coffee proclaiming, enjoy a proud Melbournian that he must try the coffee here. He obliges and we sit down. There a million questions to ask a guy with his history. Three major labels and several reinventions over an eleven year career. A career that includes albums, The Love Arcade (Atlantic) and Christian T.V (Universal Mowtown), and a past that has now lead to the formation of White Room Records, his own independent label from which he released his latest offering, The Blue Album. The Navy Album is a swirling journey through ’90s soul with RnB spliced in with warm synths and smooth melodies.
