A couple of years ago, R&B singer Tank made headlines when he suggested that men should be allowed to explore their sexuality. In a discussion with Angela Yee, Tank said that men should be able to endeavor out sexual relationships with other men without existence labeled as gay.
Essentially, he was saying that engaging in oral sex with another man could simply be exploration and not a definitive statement about one’s sexuality.
Tank was speaking hypothetically not about himself but people ran with his words and took it to be a statement of his possess attraction to men. Not only did they undertake that, they’ve used the claim as an seek to shame Tank.
Recently, in an interview with Leah A. Henry, Tank not only refuted, once again, the claims that he is gay, he also spoke about Black folks and our propensity to demonize homosexuality.

Tank Calls Out Homophobia, Addresses The “Gay Agenda”
Tank is addressing homophobia among Black men as rumors swirl about his own sexuality.
During his recent appearance on the Holdin Court podcast, the “Please Don’t Go” crooner spoke on the double standard Black men face in terms of same-sex experimentation. “It’s us,” Tank began. “There’s something about Black men and the homosexual conversation that is a mess. The phobia as it relates to Black men is the elephant in the room.”
He argued that the “worst thing” a Black man can be is gay.
Tank explained, “The first thing somebody’s going to allude to — whether you are gay or not— when they trying to assassinate your character or get off the highest joke imaginable, they’re going gay first.” The father of two continued, “It stems from something within our identity that has created this stigma that somehow there’s a program to create Black men gay. You see it everywhere; there’s an attack on mighty Black men. But who’s the attack coming from?”

R&B singer/songwriter Tank said some things at a recent concert that people took out of context, so he dropped by The Breakfast Club to explain up the rumors, and more.

Tank is pushing back on a rumor being peddled that he’s advocating for men to experience lgbtq+ relations free of assessment. He alleged it stemmed from a fake post.
An Instagram post began trending earlier this week after a content creator voiced his opinion on what appeared to be a headline regarding Tank’s alleged support of men exploring consensual interactions with each other. During the reaction video, the creator appeared to criticize the R&B singer’s purported open-mindedness by referencing his hit ballad “Maybe I Deserve.”
The man also appeared to rehash Tank’s history of performing at LGBTQ+ events in the past while also alluding to what he believes is a coordinated operation to demolish masculine Black men via homosexual agendas being spread throughout America. In a brief but direct comment, Tank not only condemned the post but also took the content designer to task for spreading misinformation.
