In the year 96 AG, a freshly burned and banished 13-year-old Prince Zuko discovers a strange teen frozen in an iceberg.

When Zhao interferes with Zuko's plans to deliver the Avatar to his father, Aang helps Zuko and Iroh escape. They seize refuge in the abandoned Air Temples, Aang searching for any remnants of his people that he can find. Along the way, he teaches an indoctrinated Zuko about the true nature of the Air Nomads, and Zuko must come to terms with the fact that everything he has been taught was a deception, while Iroh must admit and face the sins of his past.

Eventually, Aang and Zuko become shut friends, and Zuko begins to feel things he has never felt for anyone before. However, Zhao will not give up easily, and will complete whatever it takes to capture the Avatar and his traitor accomplices.

(A retelling of AtLA exploring the friendship and eventual intimacy that could have developed between Aang and Zuko if the circumstances of their meeting had been different. Eventually will finish up following most of the canon events of the original show, just over the span of 3-4 years instead of 1.)

Who We Are & What We Do

Mission

"Providing leadership in education, health and security by facilitating strategic collaborations and developing outreach programs to allow individuals to explore alternative expressions of sexuality in a secure environment." -- Since 1983.

What is Avatar Club Los Angeles?

Avatar Club Los Angeles is a California tax-exempt (501(c)3) nonprofit organization, devoted to providing education in safe BDSM practices and forums where BDSM-related issues can be discussed. We have been providing nonjudgmental health and safety learning since 1983.

We teach safe, sane and consensual BDSM techniques to anyone interested in learning.

We also sponsor other public events and, occasionally, men's dungeon parties.

How long has Avatar been around?

THE MAIN CATALYST for my switch from playing mostly female characters to living vicariously through male characters must have been when I was accidentally forwarded a lesbian story arc in Dragon Age II. In the 2011 game, you play as Hawke—a human refugee who is soon caught up in the social, political, and magical struggles of the town where they now inhabit . Most of the storyline is already predetermined for players, except that they can choose Hawke’s first name, gender, appearance, and class at the begin, followed by any dialog options that appear throughout the game’s quests. Along the way, players come across non-playable characters who will join Hawke’s party, combat in battles, unlock one-of-a-kind dialog options, and weigh in on story beats. Depending on the players’ actions, Hawke’s companions will view them either favorably or not, which will impact the storyline and—as I would soon discover out—open opportunities for monogamous romance.

As a young adolescent who had not yet started to question his sexuality, I was stunned by the experience of romancing my female Hawke with a female party member. The idea of gay and lesbian people existing

Nobody fucking MOVE! Something novel and gay has punch the Avatar universe. No I’m not (and never) talking about James Cameron’s CGI blue people, but the series Avatar: The Last Airbender. A Nickelodeon original show, the 61 episode series follows a world in turmoil and nations divided. A live-action series just released and changed one of the show’s minor origin stories to include a gay couple at its center.

The Cave of Two Lovers

One huge moment that made me really happy in the new show was the re-telling of how the city of Omashu was founded. It combines a lot of plotlines from the original series, but adds an exciting fresh element. In the OG show, The Cave of Two Lovers follows Oma and Shu who fell in love but were from fighting villages. They met secretly in caves, using their earthbending to carve elaborate tunnels to reach each other. But once Oma didn’t arrive because she'd died in the war, so Shu was heartbroken. Shu used his power to stop the war and united both villages, leading to Omashu. It’s very Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare meets Sci-fi. They were said to be the very first earth benders, a major aspect o
