Kurt cobain god is gay
It’s hard to believe but it’s been 23 years since the death of Kurt Cobain, and the photo of his arrest has made the rounds with the incorrect wording at the bottom of the photo.
As a teenager, Kurt Cobain befriended a homosexual student at educational facility, and suffered bullying from heterosexual students who concluded that Cobain was lgbtq+. In an interview he said that he liked having the identity of being gay because he did not like people and when they reflection he was gay they left him alone. He stated, “I started existence really proud of the fact that I was gay even though I wasn’t”. His friend tried to kiss him and Cobain backed away and told his friend he was not gay but would still be friends with him.

In a 1993 interview with The Advocate, Cobain claimed that he was “gay in spirit” and “probably could be bisexual.” He also stated that he used to spray paint “God Is Gay” on pickup trucks in the Aberdeen area. In September 1991, I was a nervous freshman at the University of Michigan, sitting on a friend’s dorm room floor, when a guy ran in from down the hall, saying, “You’ve got to hear this.” He fed a cassette tape into the stereo, and I heard “Smells Appreciate Teen Spirit” by Nirvana for the first hour. It’s hard to capture how radical that tune and that moment felt. Cobain and his bandmates were suddenly ubiquitous, an explosion of insolent Pacific Northwest cool into my deeply uncool, and fundamentally conservative, Midwestern world. (A few months later, Nirvana’s “Nevermind” supplanted Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” atop the Billboard charts.) Hearing his harmony was like receiving a dispatch from another spiritual plane, one that offered irrefutable evidence that there were other ways of living — and maybe other ways of loving, too.
I don’t speak of love idly. Cobain is the Gen X icon who popularized alternative music and identity, but on the 25th anniversary of his death this week, I cherish another aspect of his legacy much more: his consistent and vocal encourage of

According to Buzz Osborne, leader of the Melving, Kurt Cobain, head singer of Nirvana, was imprisoned for one morning. Both were close friends and the story goes back to their teenage years, and as is well known, Cobain used to spray paint the walls of his hometown, Aberdeen. Cobain loved to write “God is gay” on the wall, a phrase that ended up in the song “Stay Away”.
“We turn a corner next to a bank and, suddenly, there are police everywhere. We ran in different directions, but they caught Cobain. He tried to hide, but ended up in jail ” – he said.
Cobain spent one day in prison. When Cobain died, a journalist called Buzz Osborne, questioning what he thought about putting a memorial to Cobain in Aberdeen.
“I said they should put it in the cell where they left him” – he said.
